AI Ethics Charter

Effective Date: December 11, 2025

1. Purpose and Principles

GlobalInsight is committed to developing and deploying artificial intelligence systems in a manner that promotes safety, transparency, fairness, accountability, and user empowerment. Our goal is to provide meaningful, data-driven insights while respecting ethical norms, human rights, and responsible innovation.

2. Human-Centric Design

AI should augment human intelligence, not replace it.

  • Critically evaluate outputs
  • Apply domain knowledge and context
  • Exercise judgment

We design systems to support informed decision-making, not automated decision-making.

3. Safety and Risk Mitigation

We recognize that AI systems can produce errors, inaccuracies, bias, or harmful/sensitive content. We commit to:

  • Implementing reasonable safeguards
  • Monitoring and mitigating risks
  • Responding to user reports

Users also have a responsibility to use outputs safely and lawfully.

4. Transparency

We strive to communicate clearly about: When AI is used, Limitations of outputs, Provenance of data, and Constraints of third-party sources.

We do not intentionally obscure the role of automated systems.

5. Fairness and Bias Mitigation

AI models may reflect bias present in source data. We aim to:

  • Reduce harmful bias
  • Audit systems where feasible
  • Improve methodologies over time

We do not knowingly generate discriminatory, defamatory, or malicious content.

6. Data Privacy and Security

We respect user privacy and comply with applicable laws. We commit to:

  • Protecting personal data
  • Minimizing data collection
  • Securing systems against misuse

We never sell personally identifiable data.

7. Accountability and Governance

GlobalInsight accepts responsibility for policies, controls, incident response, and continuous improvement.

However, users remain responsible for how outputs are applied.

8. Responsible Use

Users must not use AI systems for:

  • Fraud, deception, or harm
  • Harassment or misinformation
  • Deepfakes or impersonation
  • High-risk autonomous decisions

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that engage in harmful use.

9. Continuous Improvement

Ethical AI is an evolving practice. We commit to:

  • Iterating policies
  • Updating safeguards
  • Engaging stakeholders
  • Learning from scientific consensus

10. Governance Review

This Charter is reviewed periodically and updated to reflect new risks, regulatory developments, and best practices in AI ethics.
